True Lacrosse, a Chicago-based company focused on spreading the game of lacrosse through the Midwest, offers a sports administration internship for undergraduates or graduates currently enrolled in an accredited four-year college or university. The intern will gain valuable hands-on experience working in the highly competitive sports and recreation industry. In addition, the intern will get a first-hand look at the operation of a small business and will play an instrumental part in True Lacrosse’s communications, organization and scheduling, public relations, marketing, and management. The individual also would be expected to assist with the smooth running of camps and clinics, leagues and travel teams.

Desired Qualifications:

• Must be enrolled in an accredited four-year college or university as a undergrad or graduate student
• Sports Administration, Recreation Management or related major preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Word and Excel)
• Basic knowledge of website functionality
• Experience working with various social media entities
• Entrepreneurial mindset and a drive to be the best
• Ability to complete work on deadline in a quick and precise manner
• Knowledge of the sports industry (lacrosse knowledge and/or playing experience is a plus)

This is an unpaid internship lasting the duration of the term, and the intern would be expected to work some nights and weekends. Hours during the day are flexible. Please send a resume and cover letter to jdeane@truelacrosse.com.
