David Stafford has committed to St. Johns University which is a Division I program that plays in the Big East to play midfield/attack. Chris Gervat True Michigan’s Director stated, "David Stafford will fit in great at St. Johns. He comes from a long pedigree of division I athletes and it shows! His size, speed, and strength make him force on the field. Mix in the hard work he puts in off the field and I see nothing but good things coming his way. You can't teach heart and that's what David has."
David said “playing division I lacrosse has always been my dream. From the moment I stepped on St. Johns campus I knew that is where I wanted to play and attend school. I want to study law and being in New York gives me many more opportunities. When I received the call from the coach at St Johns I was so excited. This is my dream come true and I could not have done it without everything that I have learned from True Lacrosse and the coaches. My thanks goes out to all of the great coaches who have helped me to achieve my goal. This would never have happened to me without True Lacrosse backing me up. By playing for True it allowed me to be the first player to ever go division I in lacrosse from my school and my conference. I hope that more players from my area get involved with True, so that they can help them, the way that they have helped me”.
